On Monday, the Munch Museum announced that Edvard Munch's masterpiece will be return to its proper display wall in Oslo. This will be the first time expressionist fans will be able to get up close and personal with the work since it was stolen by art thieves in 2004.
Regular readers of TMT know that we love art theft (though we wag a finger at the masked rogues who stole the famous Munch and took such poor care of it). In any case, announcing that "The Scream" is going back on display is like daring art thieves the world over to have a go at it. While TMT officially does not condone such an crime, we can't promise we won't get all a twitter if it happens, so long as the art is handled with care.
Also, "The Scream" is an especially juicy prize because of dude's famous expression as he is carried away by vandals at high speed.
