Calvin & Hobbes is probably one of my favorite comics ever. I thought of this the other night when I went to have a glass of chocolate milk and some peanut butter. I do this thing where I try to maintain at least half of the perfect smooth top of the peanut butter and eat out all the other peanut butter underneath it leaving some pristine beauty to remain until the end of the jar's lifetime. Calvin understood this. In fact, there was a comic about it. His mom destroyed the smooth top of the peanut butter to make a sandwich and he freaked. I've been looking all over for this one, I just can't find it.
Similarly, I remember saving Calvin & Hobbes for last when I went through the paper in the morning. I guess I'm one of those people.

ReplyDeleteHere ya go, couldn't find the "official" online source, but this is what you want: http://www.s-anand.net/calvinandhobbes.html#19930401

I also used to read Calvin and Hobbes last. I had an elaborate path I followed through the comics each day, and a separate one for Sunday's glorious multi-page color spread.
Cheers
