The democratic primaries have elucidated so many things and one in particular. It's not that I thought there weren't prejudices toward women, I just didn't think they would trump racism. I know I know, there are a number of other factors--Barack's eloquence and skill, Hillary's toughness, but what if we take the two players out (both of whom I would be happy to have as president).
"Gender stereotypes trump race stereotypes in every social science test," says Alice Eagly, a psychology professor at Northwestern University.
The Boston Globe released the results of a number of studies on Racism and Sexism, and which bias is more ingrained in the American psyche. Ladies, get out your angersticks.
