The Dootz and I were discussing the ridiculousness of the song MacArthur's Park, written by Richard Harris and made famous by Donna Summer. Now TMT does not like Disco as a rule, but this song particularly upsets me for two reasons. #1. People dancing badly to a song lamenting a poor delivery job of a green icing cake. #2. Now I want cake.
You be the judge:
MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!
