The Case of the Missing Men's Room Key

About Bathrooms...

There's a mystery at my work regarding the WC. We have a men's room and a ladies' room. We have two keys for each restroom, as they are locked from the general floor because, I suppose, people are afraid the UPS guy will camp out or poop in our facilities. Anyway, starting day 1 at our new office, the 2nd men's room key disappeared. HR sent around emails asking for the key or its whereabouts, but to no avail. Keep in mind there are only 7 dudes in my office. We got a second second key and it too disappeared. We are on our fourth second key. Unlike it's formal predecessors, this key dangles from a makeshift chain of 4 large butterfly clips and a label made of masking tape, "Men's." I don't think we can afford a nice key chain anymore (it cost a bunch to get a key made from our building). So what gives?

Current theory: our boss, a male, takes the key out of fear he will have to share the bathroom with underlings.

While I totally get this--hell, I don't want to be in the bathroom with coworkers either--don't want to hear them at their private job--I just don't know. But I've sure got my eyes peeled. I'm watching you, sir. This is a democracy.
