Easy Company

My heartfelt recommendation goes to The Band of Brothers box set.

Adam and I started watching this weekend, and I can't stop thinking about it. Winters, Gonorrhea, Bull, they all have my heart. It's like when you read a great book and you imagine the characters are living in a parallel universe, continuing to act even when you are not reading. Maybe that's just me.

But I feel like all time not
spent watching BOB is wasted time. What makes it even more amazing is that the tales are recountings of actual events. Real life survivors begin each episode with their thoughts.

You ever notice that old men's eyes look really young up close?

Something of note: All of these war movies have a "New York" guy, often called "New York" or "Brooklyn" or the like. He's usually foul-mouthed with a thick thick accent. He's the wiseacre from Yonkers. He's always one of the 5 main characters. Occasionally there is a "Bama" or a "Tuckey," but there is ALWAYS a "New York."
